β€οΈFirstly, it’s recommended to buy tickets in advance! I suggest the Modernista card, which includes entry to 10 attractions (Casa Mila/Batllo/Vicens/Amatller, Guell Palace, Catalonia Museum, Music Hall, etc.) + public transport! It’s valid for 96 hours from the first use. It’s cost-effective and convenient after exploring Gaudi’s works. . β€οΈEvery day’s itinerary is within walking distance~
Day1: Casa Vincens + Casa Mila Casa Vincens: πππππ, 1-2h, Ticket: Modernista card
Recommended! Gaudi’s early and less-known work with influences of Art Nouveau and Moorish architecture; the interior decoration is worth careful examination.
Casa Mila: πππππ, 1-2h, Ticket: Modernista card
The most impressive is the arched walls on the rooftop, each curve is unique, creating a strong sense of awe.
Day2: Joan Miro + Catalonia Museum Overall: πππ, 3-5h, Tickets: Buy Joan’s on-site, also included in the Modernista card
Although Joan is a surrealist master, like Picasso, it didn’t resonate with me. The museum offers insights into history and culture, including Gaudi furniture! Climbing the hill provides a panoramic view of Barcelona.
Day3: Gothic Quarter + Guell Palace + Picasso Museum + Music Hall Guell Palace: ππππ, 1-2h, Ticket: Modernista card
Designed by Gaudi for his only friend Guell, it has a modernist and solemn style, exuding an air of dignity.
Picasso Museum: πππππ, 2-4h, Ticket: Buy in advance on the official website
Experience Picasso’s solid painting skills and the transformation of his style; it’s very worthwhile.
Day4: Casa Batllo + Casa Amatller + Sagrada Familia Casa
Batllo: πππππ, 1-2h, Ticket: Modernista card
My favorite! Resembles an underwater world, with no straight lines inside. Gaudi was truly a master of practicality. Every doorknob, handrail, and chair adhere to ergonomics. Don’t forget to touch them.
Casa Amatller: πππππ, 1h, Ticket: Modernista card
Next to Batllo, a Gothic building with a delicate facade, very worthwhile! Amatller was a chocolate tycoon, and the design is intricate with many clever touches. For example, the rooftop resembles a chocolate bar; their chocolate is on the sweeter side.
Sagrada Familia: ππππππ, 1-3h, Ticket: Buy in advance on the official website
The more splendid Sagrada Familia is, the more pale words become. Experience it for yourself; I suggest coming between 3-5 pm and buying the entrance + tower tickets.
Day5: Shopping, Gothic Quarter (head to the seaside) + Passeig de Gracia
The Gothic Quarter is distinctive, with narrow streets featuring interesting boutiques and local brands. Heading east will take you to the seaside.
Shopping tipβοΈMany shops are closed on Sundays + protect your belongings.
